Tyr Graig Castle

Tyr Graig Castle is a landmark building perched high on a cliff overlooking the sea. It is located about 0.5 mile out of Barmouth in close reach of Snowdonia National Park. Steeped in history, it was built in 1892 by famous Birmingham gunmaker W.W.Greener as a summer retreat. Designed in the shape of a castle it also resembles the barrels of an open shotgun when viewed from above. Today, it is a popular retreat for holiday makers seeking rest and relaxation, those wanting a romantic escapade or wanting to celebrate a special occasion. The restaurant is open to non-residents and offers a unique dining experience with a view!
